Dave McLauchlan, senior business development manager for Zune, in a Zune insider podcast revealed that Microsoft is planning to port Zune HD applications to Windows phone in near future.
Zune HD marketplace has been relatively restrictive and barren when compared to Windows phone marketplace. Majority of the applications available in Zune HD marketplace (tailor made for Zune HD only) have been developed internally at Microsoft while there a few selected publishers who got a chance to develop for Zune HD. Dave mentioned that they will only port the internally developed applications and games. What Zune HD app/game would you like to see in the Windows phone marketplace?

“The apps that we have built internally for Zune, we’re actually looking at porting those over to Windows Phone. I can’t tell you when or what the exact dates are. But that’s something we’re definitely looking at.”
