Well, we have been expecting mango beta to be pushed to developer handsets for quite some time now. After the False alert that resulted in  all over the web, Microsoft's Bill Cox's tweet might just bring us something fruitful tomorrow.
Bill Cox, Sr. Director of Communications at Microsoft for the Windows Phone Division, tweeted:
What could be the ' juicy surprise ' possibly be? We suspect that Mango beta will be made available to developers via an update to existing dev unlocked device tomorrow or next generation of unlocked devices preloaded with Mango will be made to one and all. We will keep you updated. Stay tuned for more on this.
Update : Cliff Simpkins, PM of Windows Phone 7, tweeted that mango beta will be pushed to developers via connect in a few hours ( initially will be sent only to 5k developers ). *Fingers crossed*
Also, beta 2 of WP 7.1 SDK is now available for download
