Praise the lord! Shape services, creator of IM+ client, has just released an AD supported IM client with every feature available on paid app (correct me if I am wrong) for free. We previously reported about IM+ some time back which was hit with severe criticism due to initial pricing. IM+ is the only multi protocol IM app available in the marketplace right now. IM+ 's free application is probably their smartest move on this platform ($9.99 -> $4.99 wasn't smart, it was a desperate move). Mango update will bring Facebook and Windows Live native chat integration making most of the IM clients irrelevant so it's necessary for IM clients developers to offer something unique and offering a free client, in my opinion, equates to instant win.
In case you are wondering if they have cut down toast notifications feature to compensate for price cut, apparently - they haven't cut down on any feature I can think of. Care to take it for a ride?
