Twitter is filled with buzz of exciting from users who have their phones updated to NoDo. Most of them are happy. But a twitter user @oxilumin noticed something unusual. He still couldn't associate a credit card with a non US address which was supposedly offered in the NoDo update changelog.
Notice the changelog ( via wpcentral ) from 22nd March 2011
and the current changelog from the official site -
Read carefully the ' Other Marketplace Improvements ' section and you will notice that the line ' using a credit card with an address outside the United States ' is missing from the current changelog. So what just happened here ?
I am sure nobody in Microsoft is crazy enough to add such a crucial detail accidentally. Sadly, I still cannot buy apps. Marketplace is sort of useless to me. It's terribly disappointing that such a simple feature - which benefits everyone - Microsoft, developers and users - is missing still after months of launch.
update : @winphonesupport has replied : " That was referring to an issue that US customers had when using a different language/region format on their device. "
So why did they remove it ? " To avoid future confusion " they said. I don't believe em.
